Science is one of the hardest subjects there is. For things like chemistry and physics, there is a lot of math involved. It can be a huge turnoff. Biology and the natural sciences are slightly easier. However, they come with their own unique set of challenges. Biology and natural sciences involve mostly memorising facts. However, it can often be hard to get these facts to start with. You might not be near the type of library that has a lot of scientific data books. If you do have to get them, you want to be doubly sure you know what you’re looking for so you don’t waste a trip. Using the Internet is an option. However, you can spend hours poring over website after website to get the information. And at the end of the day, the last thing you want to deal with creating a bibliography.
There are some new options though. One site has taken the liberty of creating a large cache of references and putting them on the Internet. These references can all be found on Scien.net. Scien.net has created a large Natural Sciences Bibliography . The bibliography contains names and titles, which is handy to bring to your library. This bibliography contains more than a million different references to any natural science topic you can think of.
If you’re looking for human biology references, they have them. If you’re looking for zoology, they have it. These natural science references also have another benefit, they’re old.. If you need a reference from the time before the Internet took off, this can be a place to find it or at least point you in the right direction. (more...)
